Love Songs from Ground Zero The Subway Serenade (on CD) Contact: David Teller E-mail: dave@tellercreations.com Worth the listen! More political fun than a White House full of monkeys! With wit and humor David Teller pokes fun at the foibles of the human condition.

Persephoness Bees provided the first sting of fresh live music for the night!
After a short stroll down Chaos Lane (6th St.) Magnet draws all the tension and apprehension from my soul with an Electro/Adult/Emo-Rock set on the 18th Floor. Nostalgia at its finest Brothers & Sisters brought a flash back to communal rock / Hippie bluegrass!
Plan A Road Trip!! OK! So The Latebirds are from Helsinki, Finland Who said you have to be from Texas to make real country music!
Plus a great cover of Elvis Costello!
End Of Fashion Provided more than a statement as the crowd pressed foward against the stage.
I Amore Linea 77
Bi-lingual Punk with a Rap/Metal twist!
The NEW business model for record labels is that there is NOT a model.
It is all new. The music industry is in a re-invention phase!
Legacy medium i.e.; vinyl, tape, CDs, wax cylinders are taking on a new form. Read Only Memory devices with NO, Nada, 0 moving parts.
The helicon days of the club hopping A&R rep is gone, bye-bye, adios, sayonara!
Inspiration has strange beginnings! Ask Ray Davies. Better yet, buy his album Other Peoples Lives.
Why do I write songs? Because I live! Ray Davies 03/17/06
8:00pm The Journey starts in Okinawa by way of Austin, Texas. Mika Uchizato presents a musical tradition that spans centuries. Controlled passion that conveys emotion without being intimidating.
Jazz transcends all nationalities and is truly universal. Check out Keisho Ohno
10:50pm 6th & San Jacinto The musical cacaphony causes me to pause and reflect;
The cadence of chaos The beat of fleeting feet Racing, racing, seeking, searching Looking for an identity Careening up and down the sea of humanity
The Theory of Walking Relativity The age of the walker is directly proportional to the speed at which the individual progresses in a forward motion. The amount of acceleration dependent on a real or imagined importance of being somewhere! The final destination being a U-turn.
Bloggers tend to be vain insecure people?!

The altitude of Denver is not the only High in Colorado! Dressy Bessy may not have the best vocalist but she sure can deliver.

Do you need to see an uplifting smile? Do you need a song with a delivery that MAKES you smile? Terri Hendrix can do all of the above and SCAT too! She got rid of the buzzard so she could fly with eagles!

Monday 3/20
OK, so I am a day late. Packing and unpacking, disconnecting and reconnecting takes time. Especially when you forget what gets connected to what. That being said, forgetting also happens with faces, names and places. The 1st SXSW was NOT AT the Town Lake Holiday Inn. It was at the CREST. The BBQ, great food as always, also served up a face full of egg, thanks to a conversation I had with a 20yr. staffer. I dont remember his name, but I do know he has been using the same 35mm SLR for 20 years.
The softball game was cancelled because of rain once before and called another. Of course all of this information is in the directory (Thanks Pooch). Why read The Directory when you have a total recall memory like mine.
The 20th Anniversary BBQ was anti-climatic and surreal. It seemed bizarre being corralled in an empty produce warehouse after wandering the streets and alleys of Austin. 10 exhilarating days of music, films and face to face communication comes down to a final shared meal. I missed the softball games not as a player but as a fan. After all, thats what started all of us in the wonderful world of music and entertainment.
Now if I can only slow down those ear hairs and remember where I left my credit card I will be all set for the 21st Anniversary of SXSW 4:40pm

As a policy S.A.M.B.E. provides an open forum for all musicians, fans, promoters etc. I may support the concept of MP3 downloads but feel it is just as important to support copyright protections afforded recording artists. Piracy may not seem an important issue to the unknown artist trying to gain recognition but it does hamper sales of recorded product. Have a safe week.
